Maui DMV Road Tests & Driving Lessons

Use our qualified vehicle for all maui road tests.
A licensed driver will pick you up at home or meet you and any one of the four road test locations.

ROAD TEST PRICE – $169

Complimentary with every road test:

  • a qualified compact car (see below for our thorough checklist of each vehicle)

  • a ride to test the location

  • all fuel consumed, taxes and fees.

Add $49 for each additional 30-minute ride around and driving lesson before test to get comfortable with your car. Cruisin’ Maui does not cover DMV fees.

Our vehicle for road tests is a small compact car that meets all of the DMV Road Test requirements such as:

"The applicant is required to provide the vehicle that is to be used for the road test and meet the following requirements:

The vehicle meets all Safety Standards and we provide all the necessary documentation to qualify your vehicle such as the following required conditions: 

  • Provide a current and valid safety inspection certificate 

  • Provide an original current Certificate of Motor Vehicle Registration

  • Provide an original valid Hawaii Insurance Identification Card 

  • Both the information on the Certificate of Motor Vehicle Registration and the Hawaii Insurance

  • Identification Card must match and include the following information:

  • Name of Registered Owner

  • Make and Serial Number (Vehicle Identification Number -- VIN) of the vehicle

  • Names of the Insured and Insurer, Policy Number and Effective Dates of Coverage. 

  • The vehicle's original current Certificate of Motor Vehicle Registration and a Hawaii Insurance Identification Card.

Road test appointments for the Kahului Service Center and the satellite offices located in Kihei, Lahaina, and Pukalani are accepted one work day in advance starting at 7:45a.m Monday through Friday except holidays
